The Puggles club recognizes the learning ability of 2- and 3-year olds by introducing biblical precepts at church and equipping parents to teach them at home. Toddlers love having their very own Awana club just like their older siblings.
In Puggles, children are welcomed each week with play time, songs and simple crafts and activities. Leaders present age-appropriate lessons using large, colorful teaching cards, finger puppet plays and more. Lessons teach and reinforce four basic biblical precepts:
• God Made Everything
• God Saw That It Was Good
• God is Love
• Give Thanks
Special take-home cards (optional) that correspond to each week’s lesson help you as a parent nurture your child’s faith at home. Participating in Puggles will give your child a head start on the path to loving and following God for life.
Kids and Parents Love Awana
Why do hundreds of thousands of kids attend Awana Clubs across America every week? Awana is fun! That’s the bottom line for most kids. Of course, they’re learning and growing while they’re having fun.
Awana Club meetings are brimming with life-enriching experiences for young people! Trained leaders guide children through age-appropriate material. Clubbers learn that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ. They also learn how to apply the truths of the Bible to their daily lives. In a world desperate for high standards of morality and ethics, Awana uses the Bible to teach children to honor God and their fellow human beings.
The goal of Awana Clubs is to reach boys and girls for Christ and train them to serve Him. Since 1983, Johnston Chapel has been using Awana to reach out to the youth in Mercer County and the surrounding area. The Awana Clubs program is distinctively Christian and Bible-centered. Of course, Awana Clubs do not exclude kids based on their religious affiliation. The club meetings are open to all.
Awana Clubs are Loaded with Exciting Activities
Three segments provide start-to-finish adventure in every club night! Each has a purpose.
Game Time: Every Awana Club meeting includes a high-energy Game Time featuring individual and team competition. Game Time unleashes kids’ natural energy and enthusiasm. The Awana Game Circle has universal appeal. Kids everywhere love Awana games! Everyone participates.
Handbook Time: Using achievement-oriented curriculum materials, Awana emphasizes memorization and understanding of key Bible verses. With a trained leader alongside to encourage and guide, clubbers develop a Bible-based view of how to know and serve God. Clubbers are rewarded for their achievements as they progress through the handbooks.
Council Time: The whole club gathers for a Bible message, singing, and announcements of upcoming events. One highlight of Council Time is the presentation of awards for individual handbook progress and team competition.
