WHAT IS CHAPEL 101? 

CHAPEL 101 is an introductory class designed to help you learn more about the basic beliefs and practices of Johnston Chapel.  Answering your questions about knowing God and about our church is the primary goal of this class.  Although it is a requirement for membership, please feel free to attend if you simply want to find out more about us. 

Session 1 – Basic Beliefs 

• How you can know for sure that you are a child of God.
• What we believe about baptism.
• What we believe about communion.
• An introduction to our doctrinal statement and constitution.

Session 2 – What Kind of Church We Are 

• Our name–what it says about us.
• Our history
• Our purpose and strategy for ministry.

Session 3 – Finding Your Way Around  

• Our facilities
• Our service schedule
• Our ministries
• Our Bible Fellowships
• Our staff

Session 4 – Membership at Johnston Chapel  

• Reasons for membership.
• What it means to be a member.
• How you can become a member.

A tour of the church facilities is offered at the end of the class.

WHEN IS IT AVAILABLE?
