Text Box: The Filming of Rivka Text Box: My specific job was that of dialect coach. Every morning, I met with the actors and rehearsed lines. When it was time for them to go on set, I was there in case they needed me. I loved being on the film set although working 13 hour days was exhausting! It was so much fun though. And in case any of you are worried, I am still managing editor of the magazine. My boss graciously let me take the few weeks to have this experience. I was still working just via the Internet J As always, thanks so much to each of you for your generosity and prayers. I so greatly appreciate them!   Text Box:     For the last month, I have been helping with the filming of a follow-up tool named Rivka. Rivka is a character who accepts Christ after Mary Magdalene shares with her. At the heart of this strategy is a set of twelve 20-minute video lessons, an audio version, a two hour feature film, an audio daily devotional and printed Bible study leader guides. Rivka shares her faith with her friends and family, as well as teaches believers how to grow and walk with Jesus. The leadership chose to call the follow-up strategy Rivka, as she exemplifies multiplication of faith. There are many questions that can arise after someone hears the gospel. These questions can be roadblocks to him or her accepting Christ. The leadership identified 12 questions, primarily from a women’s perspective. The goal of Rivka is that local laborers would have tools available to answer these questions, in a culturally authentic way, leading to true conversions of Spirit-filled believers. The film’s objective is to supply hope to women around the world who are oppressed, treated harshly, and seen as less than human. We had goats, donkeys, sheep and camels.
