ROMANS  2:1-16

“The Trial of the Moral Person”

Introduction-

With the moral man in view, Paul details three principles of God’s judgment:

I.      GOD’S  JUDGMENT  IS  CERTAIN – vv. 1-5

We need to see this because the moral person tends to be:

            1- Judgmental- v. 1a

            2- Blind- v. 1b

            3- Smug- vv. 2-3

            4- Hardened- vv. 4-5

II.     GOD’S  JUDGMENT  IS  IMPARTIAL – vv. 6-11

Paul is not teaching that we are saved by works, but that God’s judgment is impartial:

1- As To The Content Of Judgment- v. 6

2- As To The People Being Judged- v. 11

III.   GOD’S  JUDGMENT  IS  JUST – vv. 12-16

            1- Two Groups Of People- v. 12

2- One Principle Of Judgment- vv. 13-15

3- Three Steps Of Accountability- vv. 14-15

Conclusion-  If you have never recognized that you are a sinner and trusted Christ as your

Savior, you will be judged with God’s perfect judgment
