The Conclusion!

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

I. The Only Sensible Conclusion Is That God Must Be At The Center Of Life If It Is To Have Meaning.

A. He is the Creator. – 12:1

B. He has established the rules of life, and one can only find meaning in life by obeying Him.

C. Everyone will give an account to God.

D. For life to have meaning one must reverence, love, worship, obey and seek to glorify God in all things.

II. Any View Of Life That Excludes God Is Meaningless.

A. Life is for labor. – 1:3-11

B. Life is for learning. – 1:13, 17-18

C. Life is for pleasure. – 2:1-3, 8b

D. Life is for wealth. – 2:4-9, 5:10

E. Life is for fame. – 4:13-16

Note: In excluding God and living for his own selfish pursuits, man brings misery on himself and others. – 7:20, 29

III. Today Let Us Commit Ourselves To Live A God-Centered Life.

A. Our time on earth is limited. – 12:1-8

B. Only those who live according to God’s plan will find meaning in life and be ready to give an account to Him.

C. Let us trust Christ for the enablement to live according to God’s plan. –
II Corinthians 5:17

Note: When Christ is Savior and Lord, He gives the will and the power to live a life pleasing to God. By His grace, life can be concluded well. See II Timothy 4:6-8
