I Thessalonians 4:1-8

I. God’s Plan For Purity In The Lives Of His People – vv. 1-3a

A. We should live to please God. – vv. 1-2

B. It is the will of God for us to live holy lives. – v. 3a

II. The Prohibitions If One Is To Live A Pure Life - vv. 3b-6a

A. Abstain from sexual immorality. – v. 3b

B. Live a controlled life – not like the lustful people who do not know God. – v.5

C. Don’t take advantage of others. – v. 6a

III. The Punishment For Disregarding God’s Plan For Purity – vv. 6b-8

A. Living impure lives is a rejection of God. – vv. 7-8

B. God will take vengeance on those who sin in this way. – v. 6b
