A Soldier of the Lord

II Chronicles 17:16

Introduction – Amasiah is identified as a soldier who willingly offered himself to the Lord.

I. Amasiah’s Foremost Offering Was To The Lord.

A. God’s cause was his first concern.

B. God’s cause should be our first concern as well. Matthew 6:33; Philippians 1:21

II. Amasiah Gave A Full Offering Of Himself To The Lord.

A. A full measure of devotion is required of soldiers.

B. God calls us to the same kind of commitment.

C. When we commit all to the Lord, we influence others to do the same.

III. Amasiah Gave A Freewill Offering Of Himself To The Lord.

A. He volunteered for service.

B. We are to voluntarily offer ourselves to serve the Lord.
